Members of SEIU Florida Public Services Union took matters into their own hands last month when they traveled to the state capitol in Tallahassee to protest Governor Scott’s extreme budget that unfairly affects public workers. Holding signs and chanting “Pink Slip Rick”, members warned the governor and the legislature of the consequences of passing and signing a budget that will kill over 300,000 jobs in Florida.
FPSU members were joined by members of other SEIU locals, members from other unions and community activists angry about the governor’s lack of leadership.
