With thousands of school district employees preparing to head back to work over the next few weeks, Florida Public Services Union launched an aggressive direct mail campaign this week to educate members who are enrolled in the Florida Retirement System (FRS) about major changes to their retirements and their paychecks. Last week, FPSU dropped thousands of mail pieces to members across Florida warning them about Rick Scott’s pension scheme that will cost them 3% of their paychecks this school year.
The mail piece also touched on potential health insurance increases that school district employees could be facing in the coming months.
