Bargaining Update

As you’re aware, the SEIU-FPSU bargaining team and the City of Boca Raton are in the midst of a three-year contract through September 30, 2022. In addition, the City and union have tentatively agreed to change the terms of the retirement plan and expand the DROP retirement months of service from the current 60 months (5 years) to 84 months (7 years), thus giving employees who enter the DROP plan the option to remain employed and in the plan an additional 24 months. There will be a secret ballot vote open to all bargaining members on Friday, February 5th at the following locations and times to ratify the proposed change.
