Contract Approved by Employees
The SEIU Florida Public Services Union represented employees at the City of Riviera Beach have voted 65 to 50 to approve a three-year successor agreement which dramatically upgrades wages for the vast majority of workers, raises the minimum and maximum wage rates for all classifications, and raises wages comparable to that of other market area municipal employers.
In addition, the agreement includes, among other changes, a new education reimbursement policy, expands compassionate leave benefits, adds an additional holiday (Juneteenth), a higher boot allowance, and sets the table for hazardous pay for workers performing job-related hazardous duty roles.
