Benefits Update
SEIU-Florida Public Services Union and Palm Tran have met regarding including Juneteenth (June 19) as an official holiday. The parties agreed to add Juneteenth to the list of observed holidays in line with the other holidays referenced in Article 22 of the collective bargaining agreement. The parties will add the holiday to the full contract in the next round of collective bargaining in 2023. The Union is working to set a ratification date ASAP.

There’s no question about our members signing up to be COPE activists. SEIU membership at Palm Tran is a two-step deal—membership and COPE. Political inactivity is not an option.
