Lake County Workers,

Lake County workers have voted to ratify their three year Agreement, and the 3 Memorandums of Understanding.

We have our FAQ below based on questions from our workers:

When can we expect the Bonus, Pay Increase, and Retro Pay?

First, the School Board must vote to ratify the agreement at their Feb 9, 2026 meeting. Next, management must work to ensure all pay is accurate and processed. We have been assured that this will happen ASAP, but we have not been provided an expected date for the pay to be processed.

What are the Next Steps?

Your Bargaining Committee will look to start bargaining before the end of the school year for the next Wage ReOpener. Our goal will be to move forward quickly. With the 2026 State Legislative Session scheduled in end in late March this year (as opposed to in July in 2025) this should be possible. Assuming, of course, that Tallahassee can get their jobs done on time this year!

¿Cuándo podemos esperar el bono, el aumento salarial y el pago retroactivo?

Primero, la Junta Escolar debe votar para ratificar el acuerdo en su reunión del 9 de febrero de 2026. Luego, la administración debe asegurarse de que todos los pagos sean correctos y se procesen. Nos han asegurado que esto sucederá lo antes posible, pero no nos han proporcionado una fecha estimada para el procesamiento de los pagos.

¿Cuáles son los próximos pasos?

Su Comité de Negociación buscará comenzar las negociaciones para la próxima revisión salarial antes de que finalice el año escolar. Nuestro objetivo es avanzar rápidamente. Dado que la Sesión Legislativa Estatal de 2026 está programada para finalizar a finales de marzo de este año (en lugar de en julio de 2025), esto debería ser posible. ¡Siempre y cuando, por supuesto, Tallahassee cumpla con sus responsabilidades a tiempo este año!
