Credit Union 1 is providing a unique opportunity to FPSU members for their Professional Growth as a Pilot Program. The Scholarship fund is established to support the career advancement and professional development of non-instructional school and other municipal workers represented by SEIU Florida Public Services Union. This scholarship aims to assist members in obtaining licenses or certifications necessary for their current roles or for promotions, ensuring they have access to opportunities that enhance their skills and job security.
Funding Amount:
Each recipient can receive up to $500. Funds are limited. We encourage you to apply soon, as assistance will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis until the funds are depleted.
Deadline:
The selection committee will not accept applications after September 15th, 2025.
Notification of Award:
Recipients will be notified by September 30th, 2025, via email, regarding their selection for funding. Scholarship funds will be sent directly to the institution or provider responsible for the license or certification program.
Recipient Obligations:
- Recipients are encouraged to share their experience with the union to motivate fellow members to pursue their professional development goals.
- Recipients will have free access to Credit Union 1’s Financial Wellbeing Program, Enrich, which features valuable resources and tools for improving your financial literacy.
- As part of the program, recipients must:
- Complete three short online courses on essential financial skills in Enrich (estimated time: 1 to 1.5 hours).
- Attend a brief (15–30 minute introductory phone or video) meeting with a financial coach to personalize your financial journey.
