It’s no great surprise that Florida ranks low in health care. State leaders are stingy with funding health care, even refusing generous federal funds to expand Medicaid. Expansion of Medicaid has been opposed by Republicans across the state blatantly due to their self-serving ideology.
Many Floridians are suffering needlessly because the state’s leaders have become far right radicals. Florida’s health care system is among the nation’s worst in access, affordability, avoidable use, consistent pediatric care and overall costs.
No Floridian should have to choose between seeing a doctor or filling a prescription, and or paying the utility bill or the rent. You have a basic right to affordable and accessible quality healthcare.
